The year is 1731. The era of piracy is on the verge of extinction, being haunted by the English Navy. Since, all has become peaceful in the realm of the just, but buried within the shadows of the sea lies evil that thirsts for blood. Whispers in the night echo rumors of a blackened fortress treading the vast expanse of the sea. Phantoms, as they're called, taking ports by storm, burning many to the ground while others become slaughtering grounds. Women and children tortured, murdered for mere enjoyment while their husbands and fathers are forced to watch. Goods and spoils stolen for profits, houses and shops reduced to piles of searing embers. The reasons behind these attacks are unknown, as is the origin of these phantoms, but from the recent displays, it can only be assumed these phantoms will stop at nothing to get what they want. British rule alone has been unsuccessful in stopping this ruthless killer as they now look to the remaining pirates for a special alliance to aid them in protecting their fair lands, for as rumor has it, Kingston Harbor is next on death's list. Will those who are bound by the code of the brethren aid their most hated enemy? Will the English swallow their pride long enough to protect their investments in the Caribbean? Or will both be swallowed up by fear of losing everything as this phantom army grows one port at a time? It's up to you to decide what is fair in Love and War.
