CANON LISTING available, reserved, taken
king - - - of silussuggested playby: ethan hawkeOne of the most powerful figures in Silus and this part of the world, the Silian King has often been described as cruel and merciless. This policy is no less true for his own family who has, on occasion, been subject to the same tortures as treasonists. There is but one goal in his mind: expansion, and if war is the cost, then so be it. As of late, he has set his sights on the rich and fertile Reginien valley, and there is little he won't do to reach an objective even if it means the sacrifice of one heir and marrying off of another. - - - [ click here to read the Silian King's ultimate agenda ]
queen - - - of silussuggested playby: helena bonham carterThe highly respected Silian Queen has been with her husband since the beginning of his reign, and although many fathom her to be a clueless figurehead, that is far from the truth. She knows many of the secret workings of her husband's kingdom (and of his many, many affairs and bastard children), but she has the sense to keep mum. That's not to say she's docile; on the contrary, the queen to a country as ever-expanding and heartless as Silus has to be just as cold and restive lest she be replaced. Her own children are estranged from her, and there are very few in whom she confides. If the Silian belief is that feelings are a sign of weakness, then she'll show the least amount of feeling of them all.
king - - - of reginasuggested playby: clive owenNewly coronated, the King came to power when his elder brother suddenly suffered a heart attack and left the kingdom without an heir. Unlike his contentious elder, he has no intention of continuing a war with the Silian kingdom partly out of concern and partly out of good will. There is little purpose to a war fought over land, and he's presently relieved that the Silian King so readily agreed to a ceasefire after twelve long years of blood shed. Post-war Regina is beginning to flourish again, now open to foreign interaction and trade, and he is grooming his beloved daughter to take the throne one day despite the male heir tradition. He has his lingering suspicions, but at the moment, he is simply satisfied Regina is no longer under foreign siege and attack.
count - - - of leones (silus)suggested playby: guy pearceThough now in his forties, the Count is a man whose interests have changed little since he was a lad: war, intrigue, and young girls. Particularly that last one. He is the closest thing His Highness has to a friend, and was rewarded for his success in offing the King’s elder brother loyalty with marriage to the King’s most vocal bastard brat, all of twelve years old on their wedding day. While not as high ranking as say, a Duke, his skills in schmoozing and publicly feminist politics have made him very popular and influential in Leones. However, one only has to take a look around his household at his mute servants and vengeful child bride to realize the Count has a deeper lust for blood and flesh than his politics would lead one to believe.
prince - - - of silussuggested playby: nicholas houltNineteen years old and third in line for the throne, this prince has come to Regina of his own accord initially unaware that his brothers had come as well. Now privy, he has his own agenda to accomplish apart from their oh-so-idealistic peace-keeping one. The opportunity is just too good. When else will he get the chance to murder his two brothers, take the throne, and blame the act on the Reginiens? Shouldn't be too hard what with his clean slate and both heirs' absolute trust.
princess - - - of silussuggested playby: barbara palvinEighteen, this girl is the last child and only daughter of the Silian King and Queen. Raised separately from her three brothers, she initially regarded them as strangers more than anything, a view which changed when she turned ten. Rian, her eldest brother at twelve years, accused one of the princess's closest friends (and one of his own half-sisters) as being a witch. The allegation destroyed the family and subsequently led to the accused's death, and ever since, the princess has been plotting her revenge. She is vaguely aware of the youngest prince's ambitions and murderous desires and has yet to decide whether she can trust him. In the meantime, she's been trying to garner her brother's favor whilst coming in between his and the Countess Theo's relationship. After all, she is his real sister.
lady - - - of silussuggested playby: bryce dallas howardOnce known as "Andrew", this lady was quite the tom boy in her younger years. She used to dress in all male attire and, unbeknownst to her father, roughhouse with the boys of the Silian royal family, even developing a slight fancy for one. Once her father, the Duke, did discover her crime, however, she was returned to the northern reaches of the kingdom where her family ruled. Now raised a proper, young lady, she is only vaguely aware of the turmoil that has been ravaging Silus as of late, including the inexplicable death of her father's dear friend. She is prepared to marry whomever she must to please her father, but is she prepared to be the next Silian queen? - - - [ click here for more information ]
mistress - - - of silussuggested playby: odette yustmanThe current flavor of the month, this lady of the Silian court has lasted longer than most as the King's mistress. Perhaps he is intrigued by the shrewdness or cunning in her, but regardless, she intends to hold onto her spot for as long as possible, at least, until the next best thing -- the Silian heir. She's younger than the Silian King by a considerable gap, and that has sparked much gossip, but prior to being "the Mistress", she'd attempted to gain the eldest Prince's bed without avail. Even drunk, he'd rebuffed her, but during his three years at war, she'd written to him often with favorable replies in return. She hasn't seen him since, even with the war ended, but she intends to wrap things up quickly before the King moves on to the next youngest trend.
lady - - - of reginasuggested playby: darla bakerThis lady has had the fortune of being born into one of the most illustrious and venerable families of Regina and the misfortune of being born at the wrong time. Kept very hush-hush, the family is in deep debt and has managed thus far to retain noble status by clinging to its celebrated surname. The patriarch of the household has had previous dealings with and connections to the Silian kingdom, and when approached one day with an offer that would not only solve the family's fiscal problems but restore it to its former grandeur, how could he have refused? The execution of the heinous act has fallen upon his daughter, and the orders are as follows: she must kill the Helion prince before week's end, thus securing the Silian prince's engagement to the princess. Amidst the celebrations following the war, this lady has come up to the Reginien court to do just that, and with the fate of her household in the balance, what's a girl to do?
sir judas of heliossuggested playby: neil patrick harrisWithout a specific title, this man was nevertheless the ambassador to Silus and the only foreigner allowed to enter the country the entirety of the war. Despite his Helion birth, his lineage has strong Silian roots; nearly everyone on his mother's side was Silian, and Judas was granted special favor partly out of respect for his Silian uncle's widespread accomplishments and loyalty to the throne. Judas himself has established a very friendly and cozy relationship with the Silian royal family, and it's been rumored that he's batting for the enemy team. The irony of his name isn't lost on him, but will he live up to it?
baron - - - of heliossuggested playby: marlon teixeiraMarried, this man finds his life dreadfully dull and jumps at any opportunity to liven things up. Thus, when the Helion king brought up the chance to travel abroad for the first time in twelve years, why wouldn't he go? Even though he's supposed to be here on "diplomatic" affairs (or more specifically, to deter the Silian prince from wooing the Reginien princess), he's got no problem taking a few detours for his own pleasure. Being married doesn't have to mean you're dead, does it?
earl - - - of reginasuggested playby: parker gregoryA distant relative of the Reginien royal family, he is quite close with the king and often advises him on political, economical, and even personal matters. His concerns for the princess are genuine, and he's taken it upon himself to act in place of the brother she's never had. In the process, he's found himself entangled in quite the love triangle (see miss - - - of regina, miss - - -). Only problem is he's not strictly attracted to women, and his fiancée suspects it.
sir - - - of silussuggested playby: milo ventimigliaThis young knight of the Silian Guard knows more than he lets on, and he doesn't intend to keep it all to himself. In fact, he's been doling out bits and pieces of rather incriminating dirt on the royal family to gain support for the Duke's rebellion, but in court, he's as loyal and raucous as any Silian knight is expected to be. No one suspects a thing -- as far as he's aware -- and when the swords are picked up against the Silian throne, he'll be first on the front line. - - - [ click here for more information ]
sir - - - of silussuggested playbys: sophie thomas/lasse pedersenWhile other young girls were dreaming of being rescued by a knight, this one was dreaming of becoming a knight. Her role in society never sat well with her; despite Silus's rather liberal views when it comes to its women -- allowing them to sit astride a horse, hunt, and even wear male clothing on occasion -- it stood and stands that a woman's main objective is to get married, settle down, and raise children. Originally from a moderately wealthy family outside of the peerage (although with noble descendants), she fled her household when her parents arranged her a marriage with a viscount. After being pronounced missing and subsequently dead, she struck out to make a new name and identity for herself. With the help of a Silian conman (see merchant - - - of silus), she used forged papers to become the squire of a celebrated knight during the war and, immediately afterwards, gained knighthood for "heroic acts on the battlefield." She's now a part of the Silian prince's entourage, a great honor, but traveling abroad has made her more scared than ever that someone will discover her secret; it would mean certain death.
miss - - - of reginasuggested playby: katharine isabelleTwice married, both of her husbands have since died (reportedly due to her spiteful attitude but in reality due to infections), and people still wonder if she killed them. Although bereft of her former titles and often ostracized for being twice widowed, she's found herself engaged again and this time to a prestigious earl of regina (see earl - - - of regina). How this came to be is a mystery though it's been rumored that her father struck some deal of sorts with the earl's family. Regardless, she finds herself about to be married a third time, but her to-be husband strikes her as a little... off. Maybe if he reacted more favorably to the enamored florist (see miss - - -) trailing after him, she'd be more inclined to change her views.
miss - - -suggested playby: go araWith her strange looks, this girl is clearly a foreigner. Some say she was born the daughter of an Emperor in the Orient, others that she was a noble kidnapped and brought abroad when her father refused to pay the ransom. Regardless, her past is quite the mystery even to herself. For now, she's (somewhat) content as she is -- a gypsy traveling with Luca's band of misfits and lodging wherever she pleases.
miss - - - of reginasuggested playby: annasophia robbA chambermaid to the Reginien royal family, this girl has no intention of remaining one for much longer. Though young, her ambitions are anything but naïve, and with this influx of rich princes and men of title to the castle, a girl would have to be downright foolish not to take advantage of the opportunity to at least try jumping up a rung -- or ten -- in the social ladder.
miss - - -suggested playby: jayne wisenerA fruit and flower peddler on the streets of Regina, this young girl suddenly finds most of her flowers going to the castle in preparation for a royal ball. Her comings and goings to and from the royal residence has gotten her acquainted with interesting persons from all walks of life, not the least of which is the engaged earl (see earl - - - of regina), a close associate of the Reginien king. Saying that she's attracted to him would be an understatement.
miss - - -suggested playby: rachel hurd-woodAn influx of foreign men to the local Reginien brothel has created a certain degree of excitement among its female workers. This girl, however, thinks it's a load of hogwash. Though she sympathizes, she gave up on the dream of getting out a long time ago, but if so, why does the visiting Helion baron (see baron - - - of helios) send her into a panic attack every single time she bumps into him in the streets (or under the sheets)?
merchant - - - of silussuggested playby: adrien brodyProbably the most cunning conman you've ever had the displeasure of meeting, this man has learned the tricks of the trade from the best, and honestly, what better country to further his education than in Silus where cheating, chicanery, and castigation are the three pillars by which boys are raised? Born and brought up in Regina, he always felt the black sheep; moving to Silus was the smartest decision he'd ever made, and since then, he's been cultivating the side of him that likes to swindle and scandalize. An innocent traveling merchant to the general public, he makes his money conning the working class and the not alike. A short while ago, he picked up a young girl (see sir - - - of silus), forged some papers, and helped her become a knight, but nothing is without repayment. After all, in a lucrative business such as his, it's all about connections, connections, connections.
