the nothams are legendary. they are a force to be feared, to be respected, and to be joined. a person does not hope to be born a notham, because a notham can be easily lost and forgotten among themselves, but rather to marry one of the force: there are very few that do not hope to be some part of their legendary kind.

the nothams make royalty. they rarely become royalty: a notham does not hope to be the king or queen, they hope to be the one that leads them forward. every king has a notham - the reginien king is famed for his right hand man, a notham by the name of wilhelm. he's only a duke, but it doesn't matter what his title is, because everyone knows that the king does not make a decision without the help of his unofficial adviser. the queen holds his wife, charlotte, very close, always together. when it comes to the hierarchy of the women of the reginien court, charlotte comes second, and the same goes for the men of the court in regard to wilhelm.

their daughter, odette, is the key. a beautiful girl, their most beautiful, and possibly the boldest - the best trait a notham could have. nothams never lie, never hide, never bend over for someone else. a notham would first die than to give up their views. they can twist their words and speak quietly and secretively, but the one that matters - their target or their companion - always know the truth. everyone else can just speculate.

the nothams came from nothing. no one knows where they came from, but everyone knows the notham came from the dirt under your soles, and made themselves what you aspire to become. wilhelm's father, george, was the beginning to the notham 'dynasty;' with eleven sons, he spread the lineage far and wide. each notham child goes to a different country, unless decided otherwise. they were mere peasants and became royal horse trainers - every royal battle horse descends from a notham stud line, and every court aspires to become allies with the nothams. when they have an agenda, your stable will lower in quality, and how you do on the battlefields depends on your relationship with this legendary family.

the nothams are everywhere. they are at every king and queen's side, in every palace, every court, every country. they are everywhere and anywhere; and do not mistake the fact that they will take you down, and make it their agenda to do so.
