Righto, then—since the Count has had such a large role in shaping Theo's personality crisis as it may be, t'is my plan to have 'im be a character on Sleep Deprivation sooner or later. Though it'd prolly be best if I didn't take him. Anyways, before I start contradicting myself with information about the Count, I figured it was best to at least get a preliminary sorta outline 'bout what's been revealed regarding his character thus far. Most of it does come from the IC C-Box, so if necessary those bits can be altered or removed completely. Regardless.
AND THAT'S ALL I GOT RIGHT NOW.
- The Count is three times Theo's age—whether this was when they got married so he's now 40, or if it's a measure of their gap now, making him 48, I don't particularly care. Gotta love math, though.
- The Count is a pedophile, or whatever the proper medieval term is; I believe I've called him a 'lecherous bachelor' at some point, so yeah, we can go with that. But he takes pleasure in the fact his wife is naught more than a lass, that's the main point.
- The Count is fully aware of how much the Countess hates him, and that she plots his demise nightly. Truthfully, he's amused by her efforts.
- This is due to the fact that he is an experienced warrior, and knows he can prevent anything she tries. Thus their four years of
fucked up relationsdomestic bliss. - The Count is a friend of the Silian King, a genius point I had no hand in; thus, you can check it out in Mimi's thread over heah.
- The Count really needs a name, because I'm getting sick of referring to him this way, and it's even more tedious in this list form. Still, whaddaya gonna do?
- He's been attempting to conceive a child with his childbride; little does he know she's been taking the medieval herbal equivalent of birth control/morning after pills. Huzzah.
- Publicly, the Count is considered a feminist—interpret this as you will, I can't even explain it too well.
- The Count believes in old ways of discipline, such as chopping out criminal's tongues or other body parts when they commit a crime. Mostly tongues, though, if Theo's servants are any indication.
- Honestly? The Count is the Count because I am way too fond of both the book and the movie The Count of Monte Cristo. Go ahead and laugh.
- Speaking of the movie, I can't help but picture the Count looking like Mister Guy Pearce, though any age appropriate gentleman would do. Pearce is just a cool dude whose movies I enjoy immensely. Regardless.
- It's implied that 20's!Count is 20's!Theo's supervisor at the newspaper, but that's all that is—implication. Doesn't necessarily have to be true.
- The Count's refused to take a mistress since becoming married; Theo is convinced this is done mostly to spite her.
AND THAT'S ALL I GOT RIGHT NOW.
